NSU workshop fires up young business minds
North South University has launched the third season of its Entrepret competition, organized by its Young Entrepreneurship Club. The event features 616 teams from 25 national universities, all vying for mentorship, exposure, and potential investment for their business plans or existing enterprises.
The inaugural workshop was led by iFarmer CEO Fahad Ifaz, who advised students to develop solutions for everyday problems and to persist through failure. Faculty adviser Mirza M Ferdous noted this year’s focus on social impact over technology-centric ideas. Club President Zarin Tasnim Mouli stated the current season is larger, now allowing pitches for operational businesses.
The competition will progress through several rounds and workshops, culminating in a final event with a total prize pool of Tk5 lakh. Southeast Bank PLC serves as the main sponsor for the initiative.
