Oburu Odinga confirms Raila recovering in India, slams health rumours
Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga has reassured Kenyans that his brother, ODM leader Raila Odinga, is in good health and recovering in India after a brief illness. Oburu slammed rumors suggesting Raila was in critical condition, calling them exaggerated and false.
The senator clarified that Raila was not as sick as some reports claimed and is now resting and recuperating. His statement comes after Raila’s wife, Mama Ida Odinga, also dismissed the rumors, firmly assuring the public that her husband is fine and continuing his usual activities.
Raila’s spokesperson added that the health rumors were politically motivated, accusing some politicians of spreading misinformation to undermine the opposition leader. The spokesperson stressed that Raila has always been transparent about his health.
