Papon honors Kishore Kumar in SonyLIV tribute
Papon, known for songs like Bulleya and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, paid tribute to Kishore Kumar with a performance alongside Alisha Chinai. He said no one can copy Kishore Kumar’s voice, and singing his songs means telling a story with honesty and your own style. Papon shared how Kishore Kumar’s music was a constant part of his childhood.
The tribute, called Ek Baar Aur Kishore Kumar, was streamed on SonyLIV. Papon also marked 13 years of his song Kyun from Barfi, saying he wanted to capture a simple, innocent feeling when recording it. He said working with Pritam and the Barfi team was joyful, and that music like this lives on for years.
