Pentagon press corps walks out over new media rules

Journalists covering the U.S. Department of War walked out of the Pentagon on Wednesday after their press badges were taken. The Pentagon Press Association said the badges were seized because reporters refused to agree to new media rules. These rules would limit reporting on national security and could label journalists as “security risks.” The walkout followed a dispute with the Defense Department over the policy, which nearly all major media outlets rejected.
