PM Modi hails Arunachal Pradesh as India’s growth heart in historic shift

Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Saturday that the northeast is no longer just a peripheral part of India’s growth—it’s now the pulse of the nation’s future. He highlighted Arunachal Pradesh as a model of India’s progress, with new airports, empowered self-help groups, and improved connectivity, all reflecting the spirit of a “Viksit Bharat.”

In a post on X, PM Modi shared a piece by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, emphasizing Arunachal’s transformation. Scindia called the region “Ashtalakshmi,” once a distant frontier, now a thriving hub. He described his visit to Ziro Valley, marveling at its blend of cultural heritage and modern development, all aligned with Modi’s vision of a rising Northeast.

From cashless transactions powered by Digital India to local SHGs boosting livelihoods, Scindia praised the region’s vibrant mix of tradition and opportunity, calling it the heart of India’s diversity.
