PM Modi hails India’s rise to top 5 economies at NDTV Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the ‘NDTV World Summit 2025’ and highlighted India’s remarkable progress over the past 11 years. He noted that before 2014, India feared global challenges, but now, the country has defied all odds, moving from the ‘fragile five’ to being one of the top 5 economies, with a goal to become the third-largest.
He praised India’s growth in artificial intelligence, mentioning Google’s $15 billion investment, and pointed to a 7.8 percent average growth. Modi also highlighted India’s rising exports, which increased by 6.75 percent in September, and the country’s growing influence in global digital transactions and payments. He concluded by saying that India’s global respect and economic rise mark this as the country’s moment.
