Prime Minister pushes for Cocokyun growth plan
Prime Minister U Nyo Saw visited Cocokyun in the Yangon Region on Monday to review development programs and encourage residents to support economic growth initiatives. He met with local officials and community leaders at the Township General Administration Department office and the city hall.
The prime minister outlined plans to boost coconut production, marine products, and fruit processing while improving infrastructure through airport expansion, road construction, and communications upgrades. He announced vocational training programs in food production, domestic science and tailoring to enhance local skills.
U Nyo Saw presented seeds, equipment and television receivers to officials and residents. He emphasized the need for land reclamation, irrigation projects and livestock farming to strengthen food security in the township.
The delegation inspected a solar power facility and surveyed potential dam sites to provide drinking water and agricultural irrigation. U Nyo Saw stressed the need for cooperation between residents and authorities to ensure successful community development and the upcoming elections.
