Protesters demand justice at July Charter event in Dhaka

The families of the July martyrs and injured protesters gathered at the South Plaza of the National Parliament building in Dhaka on Friday. They began their protest early in the day, demanding that the government recognize their rights and provide legal protection.

By 11 am, they sat in the guest seating area near the stage where the July Charter 2025 signing event was planned for later. Police officers formed a line between them and the stage, but could not stop the protesters from taking their seats.

The protestors want the government to protect the rights of the July martyrs’ families and pass laws for their safety and recognition. They insist these needs be included in the July Charter.
