Raj Babbar mourns loss of longtime friend Satish Shah
Actor Raj Babbar mourned his colleague, Satish Shah, after his death on Oct. 25 in Mumbai at 74. Babbar wrote on social media that Shah possessed a bright presence and excelled as a performer who built a successful career through warmth and wit. The loss felt personal as Babbar remembered Shah’s humor and grace over the years they worked together in film and television.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit announced that Shah died from kidney failure after falling ill at home and being transported to Hinduja Hospital in Shivaji Park. The funeral occurred on Sunday at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle West, where cast members from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai attended, alongside Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak, and David Dhawan. Pandit called the death a significant loss for the entertainment sector.
