Real Madrid considered Lukaku move under Ancelotti

Romelu Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, shared that Real Madrid once considered signing the Belgian striker during Carlo Ancelotti’s time as coach.

Pastorello explained that Real Madrid was looking for a new striker, but their main focus was on signing Kylian Mbappe the following year. Because of this, they chose not to spend money on a loan deal for Lukaku.

Ancelotti wanted Lukaku, but the move did not happen. In the summer of 2024, Real Madrid signed Mbappe on a free transfer after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended. Lukaku joined Napoli that same summer after playing for clubs like West Bromwich, Everton, Manchester United, Inter, and Roma.
