Reese Witherspoon aims to mentor next-gen female stars
Reese Witherspoon is committed to giving back to the Hollywood community, especially to the next generation of female stars. Grateful for the mentors who guided her early in her career, the 49-year-old actress expressed her desire to “pass the microphone” to those trying to navigate the industry. She shared with E! News, “Mentorship is everything. I just had lunch with my mentor yesterday, who helped me so much in my 20s, guiding me with career and personal life choices.”
Reese has welcomed five new mentees to the Hello Sunshine Collective, her company dedicated to empowering others. She explained, “Hello Sunshine was never just about me. It’s always been about shining a light on another woman’s accomplishments.” Having produced successful shows like The Morning Show and Daisy Jones and the Six, Reese admits her younger self would be “blown away” by the success of the company. She added, “I was always looking for connection with others, and my curiosity about women has gotten me to this place.”
