Regragui targets Argentina friendly for Morocco’s World Cup prep
Walid Regragui, coach of Morocco’s national team, confirmed they are planning strong friendly matches to prepare for the 2026 World Cup. He mentioned that the team aims to face Argentina, the current world champion, though arranging the match may not be easy.
Regragui added that several African teams want to play against Morocco, and a match with an Asian team is also an option. He said they are open to facing teams from different continents to help players improve and gain experience with various playing styles. The coach stressed that scheduling these matches depends on both technical and organizational factors.
