Retired principals urge free healthcare and pensions increase in Ogun State

Retirees from the Association of Retired Principals of Secondary Schools in Ogun State, ARPSSON, have urged the Federal Government to offer free or subsidized healthcare services. The association’s president, Alexander Obadimu, also called for old people’s homes and counselling centres to improve retirees’ well-being and quality of life. Obadimu expressed concerns about the impact of inflation on retirees’ finances, noting that pensions have not increased despite rising costs. He asked for healthcare to be provided at no or minimal cost and for better pay packages to meet current economic demands.
