Ruhul Kabir Rizvi calls adviser call records illegal, blackmail

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi condemned the possession of government advisers’ call records by political individuals, calling it illegal and an act of blackmail. Speaking in Kamrangirchar on Thursday, he questioned how a political figure could access such confidential information and labeled it as unlawful.

Rizvi also discussed the party’s commitment to building a humane Bangladesh, where no one suffers without treatment, and criticized the ongoing political disputes over the unresolved issues surrounding the July Charter. He warned that such disputes could delay progress toward democracy and benefit remnants of the fascist regime.

Rizvi expressed hope that all political parties would unite at the signing ceremony of the July Charter on Friday, October 17.
