Sakline Mostafa Sajid wins 42nd National Chess Championship

Bangladesh Army’s FIDE Master Sakline Mostafa Sajid won the 42nd National Chess Championship (Open Division) with an undefeated record, scoring 8.5 out of 9 points. This is his second junior title, which he claimed easily as top competitors IM Manon Reja Neer and FM Tahsin Tajwar Zia did not participate. With a rating of 2317, he recently finished third in the National Open and aims to become an International Master. In the girls’ division, FM Warsia Khusbu won the title, with CM Nusrat Jahan Alo finishing as the runner-up.
