Science workshop in Chandannagar connects students with scientists

A special scientific seminar and workshop called ‘Vigyan Shibir’ took place at Rabindra Bhavan in Chandannagar, Hooghly, aiming to engage students with scientists. Around 450 students from local schools participated in this one-day event, organized by the CSIR Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute in Kolkata.

The program aimed to encourage scientific thinking among students and inspire a future generation of science-minded individuals. Scientists showcased their research, technological innovations, and conducted hands-on experiments for students to learn from.

Students like Sritama Das and Jayashree Saha appreciated the initiative, expressing how it helps bridge gaps in the current learning model and fosters a deeper interest in science for the future.
