Shuvosangho hosts road safety session in Akkelpur
Bashundhara Shuvosangho held a road safety program on Sunday in Akkelpur, Joypurhat, stressing that trained and accountable drivers matter as much as better infrastructure. The session at Mujibur Rahman Akkelpuri College grounds drew local transport operators, students, organization members, and community residents.
Presenters said accidents stem from driver carelessness, excessive speed, phone distractions, fatigue, and rule violations rather than inadequate roads or outdated equipment. Speakers noted that crashes harm entire families beyond just those in vehicles. They urged drivers to show professionalism and care.
Mahmud Ahmed, president of the Akkelpur unit, served as the chief guest. Shadman Hafiz Shuvo, the unit’s general secretary, attended with veteran driver Arman Hossain and trainees. Attendees said the effort would boost community awareness of safer travel practices and that responsible young drivers could transform local road conditions. Organization leaders pledged to continue similar training sessions.
