Six workers suffer burns in Narayanganj factory fire

Six workers suffered critical burn injuries when a fire tore through a garment factory in Narayanganj’s BSCIC industrial area on Sunday. The blaze started at 8:30 a.m. in the boiler room after a gas pipeline began leaking, officials said.

The victims are Al Amin, 30; Azizullah, 32; Md Selim, 35; Md Jalal Molla, 40; Nazmul Huda, 35; and security guard Nur Mohammad, 35. Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, confirmed all six remain hospitalized in the emergency department with severe injuries.
