Soumya Sarkar, Mahidul Ankon join Bangladesh ODI squad
Soumya Sarkar and Mahidul Islam Ankon have been added to Bangladesh’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against West Indies, starting on October 18 in Mirpur.
Ankon is making his first appearance in an ODI squad, having previously played one Test match against South Africa in September 2024. He was also part of the T20I squad but has yet to make his debut. Soumya returns to the team after seven months, missing the recent T20I series due to visa issues but being part of the ICC Champions Trophy squad earlier this year.
Naim Sheikh and Nahid Rana, who played in the Afghanistan ODI series, have been left out.
