Sucker Punch locks in on next Ghost game

In a recent interview with VideoGamesChronicle, Sucker Punch co-founder Brian Fleming confirmed the studio will continue focusing on one project at a time. He explained that this singular focus allows time for iteration and refinement, meaning the team can only pursue one idea every five years—making project selection critical.

Fleming acknowledged both internal and external pressure when choosing what to work on next. Shifting away from a franchise like Ghost of Tsushima could mean losing veteran staff who are no longer aligned with a new creative direction.

Despite fan hopes for a new Infamous or Sly Cooper, Ghost of Yotei’s strong early sales, plus the upcoming movie and anime, suggest Sucker Punch will likely stay committed to the Ghost series for now.
