Nvidia Kyber racks pack 576 Rubin GPUs
NVIDIA has revealed major updates to its AI compute platform at the OCP Global Summit, centered on its upcoming Kyber rack-scale architecture. Set to replace the current Oberon design, Kyber will support next-gen Rubin Ultra GPUs and scale up to NVL576 configurations by 2027.
Key changes include vertical blade stacking for higher GPU density, integrated NVLink switch blades for better scalability, and a shift to 800 VDC power delivery. This new power system improves efficiency and increases transfer capacity by 150% using the same copper infrastructure.
These upgrades reduce costs and improve performance, positioning Kyber as the backbone for future AI data centers. NVIDIA aims to lead the next wave of AI infrastructure with this design.
