Teen found dead in Dhaka amid love dispute claim
A 19-year-old man was discovered deceased at a Dhaka residence on Saturday with a cable wrapped around his neck and marks suggesting restraint on his wrists. Sajib’s parents told authorities their son had maintained a romantic relationship with a neighborhood woman who recently began withdrawing from him. The family alleges the woman summoned Sajib to her uncle’s home, where she and others attacked and killed him.
Bangshal Police Station Inspector Md Sohel Hossain said investigators have not determined whether the death resulted from suicide or homicide linked to romantic tensions. Officers retrieved the body at 5 p.m. and transferred it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy at 10:30 p.m. Sajib had finished his SSC examinations but stopped attending school and had made plans to seek employment overseas.
