UCB partners with Mastercard to enhance cross-border remittances for Bangladesh

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has teamed up with Mastercard to improve cross-border remittance services to Bangladesh. This partnership aims to make sending money home faster, safer, and more convenient for Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), while expanding the country’s international financial reach.

The agreement was signed on October 14, 2025, at UCB’s head office. Key figures from both UCB and Mastercard were present, including UCB’s Additional Managing Director Adnan Masud and Mastercard’s Senior VP Suraj Vaghani.

Masud highlighted UCB’s commitment to enhancing remittance services, while Vaghani emphasized the role of secure and efficient money transfers in supporting Bangladesh’s economy and global diaspora.
