Uganda celebrates 63rd independence at Great Wall of China

The Embassy of Uganda in Beijing marked the country’s 63rd Independence Anniversary with a cultural and tourism event at the Badaling Great Wall. The celebration, held in partnership with the Consulate General in Guangzhou, brought together diplomats, Chinese business leaders, and Ugandans in China.

Ambassador Oliver Wonekha spoke about Uganda’s growth and its openness to business and tourism. The event showcased Uganda’s highland-grown coffee, local products, and traditional dances.

Ambassador Wonekha emphasized Uganda’s strong ties with China, thanking them for their support. The event highlighted Uganda’s tourism and cultural potential, attracting international investors and promoting deeper cooperation.
