Vishal begins dubbing for Magudam debut

Actor Vishal began voice recording for his film Magudam on Friday, which marks his first directorial effort. The production held a traditional ceremony before beginning the dubbing process, while the crew continued filming the final sequences. Post-production tasks advance as the team works to complete the project.

Vishal assumed directing responsibilities after creative disagreements emerged between him and the original director, Ravi Arasu. The actor stated that he took control out of a sense of duty rather than necessity. Actress Dushara Vijayan finished her scenes before the cast moved from Ooty to Chennai for the last filming phase at TR Gardens.

The 35th film for Vishal pairs him with actresses Dushara and Anjali in lead roles. Producer R B Choudhary supports the venture through Super Good Films, marking the company’s 99th release. Cinematographer Richard M Nathan returns after working with Vishal on Madha Gaja Raja.

Composer G V Prakash Kumar composes the soundtrack, while NB Srikanth handles editing. Durairaj manages set design, and Vasuki Bhaskar oversees wardrobe selections. The production began shooting in August after a ceremony in July launched the project.
