Vuchkov slams Pazardzhik election chaos, warns of anti-Radev overreach
Former Interior Minister Veselin Vuchkov accused GERB leader Boyko Borisov of testing public tolerance after days of silence on the Pazardzhik election controversy. Vuchkov described election day as a complete institutional failure by local police, prosecutors, and security services, who ignored vote-buying reports. He warned that legislative actions targeting President Rumen Radev cross invisible boundaries by transforming political rivalry into attacks on the presidency itself. Vuchkov called for National Security Service reforms to reduce budgets and limit protected persons. He dismissed metal detectors as solutions to mall violence, but blamed inadequate security training for the fatal stabbing incident.
