Water crisis looms as Bulgaria’s leaders squabble over power
The country faces a major crisis with its water supply system, as highlighted in a report by the EWRC. The network has huge losses, over 70-80%, which is a disaster for the present and future. Areas like Pernik, Shumen, and Sliven are already struggling with water shortages. ViK Holding is accused of lying about the situation. Meanwhile, the government wasted a year on staffing issues and personal interests.
On the other side, there are endless squabbles over positions, new cars, and security guards. Some leaders are hoarding power and resources, while others complain over minor issues like losing a secretary’s car.
This all happens while the country faces rising prices, a broken judicial system, and a looming water crisis. Two separate worlds exist, one focused on problems and the other on selfish pursuits.
