Yotova stresses refinery preservation as national priority amid law changes

Vice President Iliana Yotova emphasized the importance of preserving the refinery, calling it structurally vital for Bulgaria’s economy and security of supply. She expressed concerns about the hastily drafted law passed by the National Assembly, which will require additional regulations to define the role of the special manager. Yotova also questioned the urgency of the law’s adoption, criticizing the swift process and stressing the need for broader national consensus on such a critical issue.
