Youth Service graduates set to lead Zimbabwe’s economic growth through skills and empowerment
Zimbabwe’s revamped Youth Service Programme is taking aim at shaping patriotic, skilled citizens ready to build the nation. At a ceremony in Mutare, Youth Empowerment Minister Tino Machakaire praised the graduates for their newfound role in driving economic development. The Government has committed to putting these youth at the forefront, offering them priority employment in state departments and loans to start their businesses.
The training has given the youth practical skills in market gardening, piggery, and more, empowering them to become leaders in their communities. Minister Machakaire stressed the programme’s importance in tackling issues like drug abuse and unemployment, with graduates standing as examples of what hard work and discipline can achieve.
