Zarif Abrar falls short in Dhaka tennis semifinals

Zarif Abrar’s run in the 35th Bangladesh World Tennis Tour Juniors J-30 Dhaka ended in the semifinals on Thursday. He lost to Thailand’s Ariyaphol Leekul in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Although Zarif tried to fight back in the second set, it wasn’t enough to reach the final.

In the doubles finals, India’s Shounak Chatterjee and Amrit Dhankar won the Boys’ Doubles title, defeating China’s Chuan Ding and Kezhi Li in straight sets. In the Girls’ Doubles, the Maldivian-Indian duo of Aaraa Aasaal Azim and Sanmitha Harini triumphed after a tough match against China’s Tianran and Zikan. They won the tiebreaker 10-4 to secure the title.
