Ziyambi defends Mnangagwa’s term extension resolution as party binding

Secretary for Legal Affairs Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi has defended the resolution to extend President Mnangagwa’s term beyond 2028, emphasizing that it aligns with Zanu PF’s constitution, particularly Section 6, which mandates the implementation of conference resolutions.

Speaking at the Mashonaland West Provincial Co-ordinating Committee (PCC) meeting in Chinhoyi, Ziyambi stated that the resolution passed through the proper party structures, from grassroots meetings to the Annual National People’s Conference. Once adopted, he said, the resolution is binding for all members, and any dissenting voices must align with the party’s decision.
