156 students and 10 teachers honoured with Dean’s Award at Dhaka University

Dhaka University’s Faculty of Arts recognized 156 top students and 10 distinguished teachers with the prestigious Dean’s Award for their exceptional academic and research achievements from 2021 to 2023. The award ceremony took place on Tuesday at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan was the chief guest, with Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Sayema Haque Bidisha as the special guest. Dean Professor Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan chaired the event, while former Dean Professor Sadrul Amin delivered the keynote address.

Professor Khan praised the contributions of parents and teachers in achieving success and emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced life. Professor Bidisha highlighted the pride of recognizing talent, while Professor Rahman stressed the need to use knowledge for the greater good.
