244 graduates honored at Thanlyin cooperatives convocation
The University of Cooperatives and Management in Thanlyin held its 10th graduation ceremony on Friday morning at Yangon University’s Convocation Hall, with 284 students receiving degrees across two sessions. Permanent Secretary U Khant Zaw from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development congratulated graduates and awarded medals with cash prizes to top performers in each specialization for the 2024-25 academic year.
The university conferred two master’s degrees in marketing management, one postgraduate diploma in accounting and finance, and bachelor of science degrees in economics across five concentrations. Eighty-two graduates earned degrees in accounting and finance, 67 in marketing management, 50 in applied statistics, 45 in regional development, and 37 in social enterprise management. While 244 graduates attended the ceremony in person to receive their certificates from the rector, 40 others participated virtually.
