Naypyitaw State Academy marks three years with ceremony

Naypyitaw State Academy marked three years of operations during a ceremony attended by Union Minister for Education Dr Chaw Chaw Sein on Friday morning. The institution launched in November 2022 with four faculties serving 126 students across twelve programs and has since expanded to seven faculties offering 24 specializations from undergraduate through postgraduate levels. Recent additions include nuclear physics, industrial chemistry, library and information studies, and diplomatic studies for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Dr Chaw Chaw Sein emphasized that student-centered learning remains central to the academy’s mission while encouraging faculty to develop creativity, innovation, and ethical standards among attendees. Rector Dr Nu Nu Lwin reported on institutional progress before the minister toured research exhibition booths and attended a session featuring 20 academic papers.

Officials also inspected the construction progress of a convocation hall being built within the campus compound.
