Abu Hider Rony stars as Mymensingh sets 401 in NCL

Abu Hider Rony scored his first century in first-class cricket to push Mymensingh Division to 401 runs against Sylhet Division on Sunday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The lower-order batsman finished unbeaten at 107 from 105 deliveries with 10 boundaries and six maximums after his team resumed at 268 for seven.

Sylhet reached 73 without loss before left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan captured five wickets for 68 runs. Zakir Hasan made 38 while Shykat Ali retired hurt after scoring 53 as the home side closed at 198 for five, trailing by 203 runs. Khaled Ahmed and Asadullah Al Galib each took three wickets for Sylhet in the first innings.
