Aid trucks roll into Gaza as Rafah crossing opens
Aid trucks entered Gaza on Wednesday, and Israel resumed preparations to open the Rafah crossing as Hamas returned more bodies of dead hostages. Israel had threatened to reduce aid and keep the crossing closed due to slow body returns, but Hamas handed over several Israeli bodies, easing tensions.
U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Israel might resume fighting in Gaza if Hamas doesn’t uphold the ceasefire deal. The dispute over the bodies remains a concern, as some are buried under rubble.
The ceasefire also includes Israel returning 360 Palestinian bodies, with 45 delivered on Tuesday. Aid trucks, some carrying fuel, continued to enter Gaza, though not enough to meet the urgent needs.
