Alia Bhatt wins Best Actress at Filmfare for Jigra

Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress award at the Filmfare Awards in Ahmedabad for her performance in Jigra, though she couldn’t attend the event. Filmmaker Karan Johar, her mentor, accepted the award on her behalf. Shah Rukh Khan, hosting the event, explained that Alia was absent due to filming with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. While not confirming the details, reports suggest she is working on Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Jigra, a film co-produced by Alia under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, showcases a moving story of a sister’s love for her brother. Alia shared her gratitude on social media, thanking the cast and crew and expressing her wish to have been there in person.
