Apple drops iOS 26.1 beta 3 frenzy
Apple released the third developer beta of iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.1 with system fixes and better performance. The new versions follow last week’s second beta and can be installed on supported devices. Users must connect an Apple ID to a Developer Account before downloading through Settings under General and Software Update. The steps are identical on iPhone and iPad.
iOS 26.1 Beta 3 adds more Apple Intelligence and AirPods languages, a new Phone app design, updated Photos and Safari apps, improved music controls, and background security work. macOS Tahoe 26.1 Beta 3 also arrived for testing through System Settings. Apple releases these betas to collect developer feedback and resolve issues before the public launch.
