Army chief inducted as 9th Colonel Commandant of Engineering Corps

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman became the ninth Colonel Commandant of the Bangladesh Army Engineering Corps on Sunday at Qadirabad Cantonment in Natore. Officers presented him with a ceremonial badge before he reviewed troops and accepted salutes from marching soldiers.

The general commended the corps for advancing national infrastructure at home and overseas, noting the military branch has gained public recognition through its work. He promised new programs to strengthen the unit’s capabilities.

The cantonment commander greeted Waker with full military honors upon his arrival at the parade ground. Senior army headquarters personnel and commanding officers attended the ceremony before participating in the Annual Commanders’ Conference.
