ASEAN holds 88th science and tech meeting in Bangkok

Thailand hosted the 88th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation meeting in Bangkok from Oct. 19 to 24. Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo led Myanmar’s delegation and joined representatives from member nations, the ASEAN Secretariat and dialogue partners at the event.

Officials reviewed subcommittee results and examined joint action plans for science and technology development from 2026 to 2035. The sessions covered priority projects and partnerships with South Korea, Russia, Britain and America to advance regional innovation programs.
