Balabanov hails fake unity in chaos
Stanislav Balabanov says the ruling coalition’s agreement to rotate the position of parliamentary speaker shows shared accountability among the governing parties. The deputy chairman of the There Is Such a People parliamentary group spoke to reporters at the National Assembly on Thursday about coalition decisions.
Balabanov said his party worked to maintain the three-party government structure while keeping the DPS-New Beginning movement outside formal power. The arrangement prevents the fourth political force from gaining positions in either the executive or legislative branches of government.
The ITN deputy stressed that other parliamentary groups support the three-party legislative agenda. He credited Coalition Council actions with preserving the minority government configuration that excludes DPS-New Beginning from official roles.
