Bangladesh add Soumya Sarkar, Mahidul Islam for West Indies series

Bangladesh has added two players to its ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against the West Indies. Batters Soumya Sarkar and Mahidul Islam Ankon replace Mohammad Naim and Nahid Rana.

Naim and Rana struggled in the third ODI against Afghanistan, with Naim dismissed cheaply and Rana going wicketless. Soumya returns to the ODI squad after missing recent matches due to visa issues. Mahidul, who has been in strong domestic form, makes his ODI debut after featuring in Tests.

Litton Das will miss the series due to a side strain from the Asia Cup. The squad includes retained players like Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shamim Hossain, with the spin and pace units remaining unchanged.

The series will take place in Mirpur on October 19, 21, and 23.
