Bangladesh condemns Israeli sovereignty move
Bangladesh rejected Israeli legislation that claims authority over the West Bank. Officials stated on Friday that settlement expansion violates United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 and international legal standards. The South Asian nation declared Israel holds no legitimate control over Palestinian lands or East Jerusalem.
Dhaka endorsed an International Court of Justice advisory opinion from October 22 that condemned starvation tactics against civilians as warfare violations. Bangladesh supports Palestinian statehood based on the 1967 boundaries with East Jerusalem as the capital. The government affirmed Palestinian self-determination as a fundamental right.
