Bangladesh sets uniform date for medical, dental admissions

The admission tests for both public and private medical and dental colleges in Bangladesh for the 2025-26 academic session will be held on December 12 using a uniform question paper.

This decision was made during a meeting on Sunday, according to Professor Rubina Yasmin, Additional Director General of Medical Education at the Directorate General of Medical Education.

Previously, on October 6, it was decided that the MBBS admission test would take place on December 12, and on Sunday, it was confirmed that the dental admission test would also be held on the same day.

In the 2024-25 academic session, Bangladesh offers 5,380 seats in 38 public medical colleges and 6,293 seats in 67 private medical colleges. There are 545 seats in government and private dental colleges, including dental units of medical colleges.
