BCB leadership outlines vision for equality and cricket growth

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials have mapped out plans to expand the sport beyond urban centers while strengthening support systems for athletes nationwide. Director Rubaba Dowla emphasized creating equal opportunities for male and female players through improved training facilities, mental health resources and protective measures against harassment during remarks at the Bangladesh Cricket Conference.

Sports adviser Asif Mahmud stressed the importance of sustained investment in youth development programs and infrastructure modernization to build competitive advantages over the next 15 years. The government is establishing a Bangladesh Sports Institute equipped with biomechanics laboratories and sports science capabilities to eliminate the need for overseas training. A regional facility in the Chattogram Hills will complement upgrades to existing training centers.

The leadership outlined commitments to player welfare, transparent governance and building world-class preparation environments that can produce internationally competitive teams across all levels of competition.
