Belarus, Myanmar tighten trade grip
Myanmar’s Investment Minister Dr Wah Wah Maung met with Belarus Ambassador Uladzimir Baravikou on Tuesday at the ministry headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw. The two officials reviewed agreements signed between both nations in March and examined progress from the second Myanmar-Belarus Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Belarus.
The discussion covered a bilateral development cooperation roadmap spanning 2026 to 2028, as well as pending agreements between the two countries. Officials also addressed investment promotion initiatives and related economic matters.
Ministry directors-general and senior staff attended the meeting alongside representatives from the Belarus Embassy. Baravikou serves as Belarus’ ambassador to Myanmar from his base in Hanoi.
