Myanmar backs multipolar world shift

Myanmar’s foreign minister told a Belarus security summit on Wednesday that his country welcomes multipolarity as global influence shifts toward Asia and Africa. U Than Swe said this transition creates chances for nations to build partnerships based on equal respect.

The official addressed cross-border security threats at the Minsk conference, noting his government detained 67,751 foreign nationals from 52 countries for online fraud over two years. Authorities work with China and Thailand to fight telecommunications scams and narcotics trafficking in border regions.

Myanmar supports the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and pursues non-aligned diplomatic principles. The nation plans to hold general elections on December 28 and seeks to resolve armed conflicts through talks.

More than 40 countries and seven international organizations sent representatives to the two-day gathering that examines global disorder and regional stability. Foreign ministers, integration association leaders, and research analysts from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East attended sessions.
