Bus crash kills three in Narsingdi
A speeding bus struck a battery-powered auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway late on Thursday, killing three passengers in Narsingdi Sadar upazila. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near the Madhabdi-Rainadi stretch, according to Monir Hossain, who supervises the Itakhola Highway Police Outpost. Two victims died at the scene while the third perished en route to medical care.
Authorities identified the dead as Siyam Mia, 22, Sabbi Hossain, 28, and the driver Fahim Mia, 30. All three men lived in Rainadi village. Police retrieved the bodies and returned them to relatives after the Sylhet-bound bus collided with the smaller vehicle.
