Camp Commandant’s Office wins Tatmadaw football title

Myanmar’s military football championship ended with a penalty shootout victory for the Camp Commandant’s Office team over Yangon Command at Zeyathiri Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday afternoon. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing watched the 62nd Defence Services Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy final that remained scoreless through regulation time before the winning team scored in extra time for a 1-0 result.

Military officials presented awards after the match, with the quartermaster-general giving best player honors and the adjutant-general awarding third place to Central Command. The commander-in-chief presented the championship trophy and prize money to the Camp Commandant team, while Southern Command received the fair play award. Military officers, government ministers and academy trainees attended the ceremony with their families.
