Chattogram University election a rehearsal for national polls

The Vice Chancellor of Chattogram University, Prof Mohammad Yahya Akhter, called the CUCSU election a “rehearsal” for the national election. Voting started on Tuesday after nearly 30 years, and students campaigned well while following the rules. The Vice Chancellor said all preparations were ready, including security and transport, to ensure smooth voting. He explained that filling in the circle on the ballot paper would make voting easier.

Pro-VC Kamal Uddin said they learned from the DUCSU election and introduced a photo voter list and enough OMR machines for quick vote counting. Transparency was a key focus, with every stage open to observation.
